Our First Boardgame Convention!

March was a busy month for us here at FROM THE SCROLL.

We attended our very first board game convention in Towson, which is just north of Baltimore! This particular event wasn’t your standard trade show. It was a unique gathering for the exclusive purpose of TESTING UNPUBLISHED GAMES. Hence the name UNPUB!

We met quite a few game designers throughout the 3 day gathering. Everyone was so friendly and supportive! You would think an event like this would foster a competitive atmosphere. We were very pleasantly surprised to experience just the opposite! The staff, game designers and multitude of game testers created a nurturing, family environment. Connections were made that we will surely value for years to come!

The day after the UNPUB Conference, we participated in a BREAK-MY-GAME session at the Game Kastle in College Park, Maryland. We broke out our initial prototype and tested our newest card game entitled JOY. Visit our February 2024 News Update for a sneak peek at the final card design.
